WELCOME TO OUR GITE

There are so many activities to do in our region.

We have many old vignoble memorabilia around the barn where they used to produce the wine.

Surroundings

Surrounded by vineyards we can assure you of a peaceful stay, with a small epcerie in the village for basic supplies, so the busiest it becomes is at milking time when the local cows are called in.

However, only 10 minutes away in Sainte Foy La Grande, there is a great selection of restaurants and local shops, along side a very large supermarket where you will get all your supplies. A highlight of Sainte Foy is the Saturday market, voted peoples favourite market in France in 2014. A real foodies paradise. Excellent local fresh fruit and vegetables, cheeses fish and meat are all available. There are several other bastide markets such as Eymet, Duras.

Restaurants

The area has, of course, a great range of restaurants. Dine on the banks of the Dordogne at Au fil de l’eau for a very special evening. For an unforgettable gourmet dinner, nothing beats Les Fresques at Chateau des Vigiers, one of the finest gourmet restaurants in France. Casual dining at moderate prices is surprisingly good at several restaurants in and around Ste-Foy-la-Grande. Not far from us is Duras with a good selection of bars and restaurants, and then we can suggest riverside dining in Gensac If you want an exhaustive choice, head to Eymet , a Bastide town with an amazing square and all sorts of dining available in the colonnades off the square.
